The Beatles - For no one

For No One The Beatles Written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney; released on the album "Revolver". "For No One" is a very fine example of baroque pop, even if it's not as widely known as "Yesterday", "Eleanor Rigby" or "Penny Lane". Composed entirely by Paul McCartney, it features only two members of the group (Paul and Ringo). The song's strong baroque feel is strengthened by the prominent usage of a clavichord and a French horn, the latter played by professional musician Alan Civil. Paul's lead vocal was recorded on a slower speed and lower key than heard on the record, to produce a "thinner" voice, just like in "Here, There, And Everywhere", but to a much lesser extent, hence the unusual key (B) of the song. Ringo uses brushes for drumming, and the percussion is hard to hear in most of the recording, except for the prominent use of a tambourine in the bridges. The lyrics may be among the saddest ever by the Beatles.
