The Moody Blues were a British rock band formed in 1964, known for pioneering progressive rock and art rock. They gained fame with their 1967 album Days of Future Passed, which combined rock music with orchestral arrangements, including the hit "Nights in White Satin." The band blended classical music elements with psychedelic and symphonic rock, creating a distinctive, melodic sound. Key members included Justin Hayward, John Lodge, Mike Pinder, Ray Thomas, and Graeme Edge. They remained active for decades and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.
