Lefty Frizzell was an influential American country music singer and songwriter, active mainly during the 1950s and 1960s. Known for his smooth, emotive vocal style, he helped shape the sound of honky-tonk and inspired generations of country artists. Frizzell was celebrated for his distinctive phrasing and heartfelt delivery, becoming one of the genre's most important pioneers. He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1982.
