France Gall was a French pop singer who rose to fame in the 1960s. Known for her sweet voice and youthful energy, she became one of the leading figures of the "Yé-yé" movement, a style of pop music popular in France during that era. She gained international attention after winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 1965, representing Luxembourg. In the later part of her career, she collaborated closely with songwriter Michel Berger, who became both her musical partner and husband. Gall's music evolved over time, becoming more personal and socially conscious. She remained a beloved figure in French pop culture until her passing in 2018.
