Tuning: E A D G B E
Note: I looked at several different tab and Chord versions of this song, and watched a couple different
YouTube lessons on it and decided this was the most correct. I found the macerockson/freeguitarmentor guy's
to sound the closest for me. I'm only notating a couple things differently here, and in the run down,
I'm adding notes that I don't necessarily hear the guitar play, but are the completion of the phrase,
which I think the vocals are doing in the recorded version of the song.
[Verse]
GThe only two things in lD7ife that make it worth lGivin'
is guCitars that tune good and fD7irm feelin' wGomen,
CI don't need my nD7ame in the marquee liGghts,
I Cgot my song and I gD7ot you with me to nGight,

Maybe it's time we got back to the basics of love,

A|-3--2--0---------------|
E|----------3-----(2)(0)-|
(This is basically the walk-down the guitar does in the last line there above. Don't think they play
the F# and E, but that's what the vocal line is doing to get back to the D7.)
[Chorus]
GLet's go to Luckenbach, Texas,
With Waylon and Willie and the bCoys,
This succD7essful life we're livin's got us
feudin' like the Hatfields and McGCoys,
GBetween Hank Williams' pain songs and Newberry's train songs,
And BClue Eyes Cryin in the RAmain,
Out in LD7uckenbach, AmTexas,
D7ain't nobody D7feelin' no Gpain.
[Verse]
So bGaby, let's sell your diamond ring,
AmBuy some boots and faD7ded jeans and Ggo away,
GThis coat and tie is chokin' me;
Amin your high socD7iety, you Gcry all day,
G7We've been so busy keepin' up with the Joneses
Cfour-car garage, and we're A7still buildin' on,
C--B--A----G----(F#-E) D7 G
Maybe it's time we got back to the basics of love.
(This is the same walk down on the A and E strings as tabbed above.)
[Chorus]
GLet's go to Luckenbach, Texas,
With Waylon and Willie and the bCoys,
This succD7essful life we're livin's got us
