The slide guitar on the track is open tuned to G, see the other tabs here for that and the intro. The riff is basically an octave shift with 3 beats on the lower octave, 1 on the higher. This is repeated through the song. By focusing the first 3 beats on the E A D strings and the last beat on the G B E the effect is not dissimilar sounding from the track.
