Tuning:
i needed to sing in a step down from the versions i saw in G.
the F#m is played with the B and e strings open.
there are a few walk-ups and downs on the last line of each verse, that you can fit in with a little practice.
this is my first submission, hope it works for you.
When The Ship Comes In – B. Dylan
Oh the Dtime will come F#mup
When the Gwinds will Dstop
And the Bmbreeze will Gcease to be Dbreathin'.
Like the Dstillness in the F#mwind
Before the Ghurricane beDgins,
The Dhour that the Aship comes Din.
And the F#msea will split And the Gship will Dhit
And the F#msands on the Gshoreline will be Dshaking.
Then the Dtide will F#msound
And the Gwaves will Dpound
And the Dmorning Gwill be a-Abrea --- Dking.
Oh the Dfishes will F#mlaugh as they Gswim out of the Dpath
And the Bmseagulls Gwill be a-Dsmilin'
And the Drocks on the F#msand will Gproudly Dstand
The Dhour that the Aship comes Din.
And the F#mwords that are used for to Gget the ship conDfused
Will F#mnot be underGstood as they're Dspoken
Oh the Dchains of the F#msea will have Gbusted in the Dnight
And be Dburied on the Gbottom of the Ao --- Dcean
A Dsong will F#mlift as the Gmain sail Dshifts
And the Bmboat drifts unGto the Dshoreline
And the Dsun will F#mrespect every Gface on the Ddeck
The Dhour that the Aship comes Din.
And the F#msands will roll out a Gcarpet of Dgold
For your F#mwearied Gtoes to be a-Dtouchin'
And the ship's wise F#mmen will reGmind you once Dagain
That the Dwhole wide Gworld is Awa----Dtchin'
Oh the Dfoes will F#mrise with the Gsleep still in their Deyes
And they'll Bmjerk from their Gbeds and think they're Ddreamin'
But they'll Dpinch themselves and F#msqueal
And they'll Gknow that it's for Dreal,
The Dhour that the Aship comes Din.
And they'll F#mraise their hands
Sayin' we'll Gmeet all your deDmands
But we'll F#mshout from the Gbow Your days are Dnumbered
And like DPharoah's F#mtribe they'll be Gdrowned in the Dtide
And like DGoliath Gthey'll be Acon---Dquered
