Bob Dylan Shelter From the Storm This one was pretty easy to figure out. The first tab I posted was messed up but I think I got this one right. Any questions, just email me at mpsguitarguy83@comcast.net. The main chord progression is E A E B7 A E Strum an E chord for the intro for 4 measures with 4 beats to each measure.
E'Twas in another lifetime, Aone of toil and blood EWhen blackness was a B7virtue and the Aroad was full of Emud I came in from the wilderness, Aa creature void of Eform.
"Come in," she said,
"I'll gB7iveA you shelter fromE the storm." (Transfer): E A E A E EAnd if I pass this way again, Ayou can rest assureEd I'll always do my best for B7her, on Athat I give my Eword In a world of steel-eyed death, and men who are Afighting to be Ewarm.
"Come in," she said,
"I'll B7giveA you shelter fromE the storm." E A E
Not a word was spoke between us, Athere was little risk Einvolved Everything up to that B7point had been Aleft unresolveEd. Try imagining a place where it's Aalways safe and Ewarm.
"Come in," she said,
"I'll B7giveA you shelter fromE the storm." E A E A
EI was burned out from exhaustion, Aburied in the Ehail, Poisoned in the B7bushes an' Ablown out on the Etrail, Hunted like a crocodile, Aravaged in the corn.
"Come in," she said,
"I'll B7giveA you shelter fromE the storm." E A E A E
ESuddenly I turned around and Ashe was standin' Ethere With silver bracelets B7on her wrists and Aflowers in her haiEr. She walked up to me so Agracefully and took my crown of thornEs.
"Come in," she said,
"I'll B7giveA you shelter fromE the storm." E A E A E
ENow there's a wall between us, Asomethin' there's been Elost I took too much for B7granted, Agot my signals Ecrossed. Just to think that it all began on a Along-forgotten morEn.
"Come in," she said,
"I'll B7giveA you shelter fromE the storm." E A E A E
EWell, the deputy walks on hard nails and the Apreacher rides a Emount But nothing really B7matters much, it's Adoom alone that countEs And the one-eyed undertaker, Ahe blows a futile horn.
"Come in," she said,
"I'll B7giveA you shelter fromE the storm." E A E A E
EI've heard newborn babies wailin' Alike a mournin' Edove And old men with B7broken teeth Astranded without Elove. Do I understand your question, man, Ais it hopeless and forlorEn?
"Come in," she said,
"I'll B7giveA you shelter fromE the storm." E A E E A E
EIn a little hilltop village, Athey gambled for my Eclothes I bargained for salB7vation an' they Agave me a lethal dosEe. I offered up my innocence and Agot repaid with scorn.
"Come in," she said,
"I'll B7giveA you shelter from theE storm." E A E E A E
EWell, I'm livin' in a foreign country but I'm Abound to cross the Eline Beauty walks a B7razor's edge, Asomeday I'll make it Emine. If I could only turn back the clock to when AGod and her were Eborn.
"Come in," she said,
"I'll B7giveA you shelter fromE the storm."
