Yes is a British progressive rock band formed in 1968. Known for their complex compositions, symphonic style, and virtuosic musicianship, they became one of the most influential bands of the progressive rock era. Key members over the years have included vocalist Jon Anderson, guitarist Steve Howe, bassist Chris Squire, keyboardist Rick Wakeman, and drummer Bill Bruford. They gained major success in the 1970s with albums like Fragile (1971) and Close to the Edge (1972), featuring hits such as “Roundabout.” Their sound blends rock, classical, and jazz influences with philosophical lyrics and intricate arrangements. Despite many lineup changes, Yes remains active and continues to tour and release music.
