Tom T. Hall was an American country music singer-songwriter, known as "The Storyteller" for his narrative songwriting style. Born in 1936 and active primarily from the 1960s through the 1980s, he wrote many hits for himself and others, including "Harper Valley PTA" (made famous by Jeannie C. Riley) and his own "I Love." Hall was admired for his simple, honest lyrics and his ability to tell everyday stories through song. He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2008.
