Slapshock was a Filipino heavy metal and alternative metal band formed in 1997. Known for their intense sound and energetic performances, they played a key role in shaping the Philippine rock and metal scene in the 2000s. Combining elements of nu metal and rap metal, the band gained a strong following in Southeast Asia. Slapshock remained active for over two decades before disbanding in 2020 following the death of their lead vocalist, Jamir Garcia. Their music and legacy continue to influence rock artists in the region.
