Seether is a rock band from South Africa, formed in 1999 in Pretoria. Originally named Saron Gas, they changed their name to Seether in 2002. Their music blends post-grunge, alternative metal, and hard rock, drawing comparisons to bands like Nirvana and Alice in Chains. The band is best known for hits like "Broken" (featuring Amy Lee of Evanescence), "Remedy", "Fake It", and "Fine Again". Seether is led by vocalist and guitarist Shaun Morgan, whose raw lyrics often explore personal struggles and emotional themes. They’ve released several successful albums, with "Disclaimer" and "Karma and Effect" being especially well-received. Seether continues to be active, touring internationally and releasing new music.
