Roberto Parra was a Chilean musician, composer, and poet known for his contributions to Chilean popular music and culture. A member of the famous Parra family, which includes the renowned folklorist Violeta Parra, he developed a distinctive style blending folk, jazz, and urban themes, often called “jazz guachaca.” His lyrics reflect everyday life, humor, and social issues, capturing the spirit of Chile's working-class culture. In addition to music, he was also active in theater and literature.
