Prong is an American metal band formed in 1986 in New York City by guitarist and vocalist Tommy Victor, who remains the band’s core member. Prong is known for blending elements of thrash metal, hardcore punk, and industrial music, helping to pioneer the groove metal sound of the 1990s. They gained recognition with albums like Beg to Differ (1990), Prove You Wrong (1991), and Cleansing (1994), which featured the hit "Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck." Over the years, Prong has influenced bands such as Pantera and Korn. Despite lineup changes, the band continues to record and tour, maintaining a loyal underground following.
