Peter Green was a British blues rock guitarist, singer, and songwriter, best known as the founder of Fleetwood Mac in the late 1960s. Celebrated for his soulful guitar playing and emotive style, Green was considered one of the greatest blues guitarists of his era. Before forming Fleetwood Mac, he played with John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, where he replaced Eric Clapton. Green's career was marked by both critical acclaim and personal struggles, including mental health issues that led to his withdrawal from the music scene for many years. He later returned to music with solo projects and retained a devoted fan base until his death in 2020.
