Orange Juice was a Scottish post-punk band formed in Glasgow in the late 1970s, fronted by singer and guitarist Edwyn Collins. Known for blending punk energy with jangly guitars and witty, literate lyrics, the band played a key role in shaping the indie pop sound of the 1980s. Their music combined influences from soul, disco, and new wave, setting them apart from many of their contemporaries. Orange Juice was influential in the development of the "C86" and indie pop scenes, and their legacy continues to inspire alternative and indie musicians today.
