Martin Gotthard Schneider (1930–2017) was a German composer, church musician, and theologian, best known for his contributions to modern sacred music. He played a key role in renewing Christian hymns in the 20th century, blending traditional church music with contemporary styles. Schneider was also a respected organist, choir director, and author on liturgical music.
