Lungfish was an American post-hardcore band formed in 1987 in Baltimore, Maryland. Known for their hypnotic, repetitive sound and introspective lyrics, the band was a key part of the Dischord Records roster. Their music often blends punk energy with meditative rhythms, creating a unique, minimalist approach to rock. Fronted by vocalist and poet Daniel Higgs, Lungfish developed a cult following and maintained a consistent lineup for most of their career. Though no longer active, their work remains influential in underground music circles.
