Liam Clancy was an Irish folk singer and member of the renowned group The Clancy Brothers. Known for his powerful voice and emotive storytelling, he played a major role in popularizing Irish folk music internationally, especially during the 1960s folk revival in the United States. Liam often performed both solo and with his brothers, earning praise for his passionate interpretations of traditional ballads. Bob Dylan once called him the best ballad singer he had ever heard.
