Kyuss was an influential American rock band formed in the late 1980s in Palm Desert, California. Known for pioneering the "desert rock" or "stoner rock" genre, their music combined heavy, down-tuned guitars with a raw, psychedelic sound. The band featured future Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme on guitar and had a major impact on underground rock scenes despite limited mainstream success. Kyuss disbanded in 1995 but remains highly regarded for its unique style and legacy in heavy rock music.
