Eef Barzelay is an Israeli-American singer-songwriter and the principal member of the alternative country band Clem Snide. Born Ifar Barzelay on May 12, 1970, in Tel Aviv, Israel, he was raised in Teaneck, New Jersey. In 1991, Barzelay co-founded Clem Snide in Boston, naming the band after a character from William S. Burroughs’s novels.
