The Easybeats were an Australian rock band formed in Sydney in 1964. Known for their energetic style and British Invasion-influenced sound, they quickly rose to prominence as one of Australia’s most popular groups of the 1960s. The band was co-founded by George Young and Harry Vanda, who later became a successful songwriting and producing duo. The Easybeats gained international success and were among the first Australian bands to have a major impact overseas, particularly in the UK.
