Desire is an electronic music band based in Montreal, Canada. Formed in 2009, the group is part of the Italians Do It Better label, known for its retro-inspired synth-pop and darkwave sounds. Desire is fronted by vocalist Megan Louise, with production by Johnny Jewel, who is also known for his work with Chromatics and Glass Candy. Their music blends dreamy synths, cinematic moods, and nostalgic 1980s aesthetics. One of their most popular songs, "Under Your Spell," gained wider recognition after being featured in the 2011 film Drive. Desire returned in recent years with new releases, including the 2022 album Escape, continuing their signature atmospheric style.
