Candlebox is an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1990. They rose to fame during the grunge era of the early 1990s, though their sound blends alternative rock, post-grunge, and hard rock influences. The band’s self-titled debut album, Candlebox (1993), went multi-platinum and featured hit singles like "Far Behind" and "You." Fronted by lead singer Kevin Martin, Candlebox became one of the more commercially successful bands to emerge from the Seattle music scene. Despite lineup changes and a hiatus in the 2000s, the band has continued to release music and tour, with their final album, The Long Goodbye, released in 2023 before announcing their farewell tour.
