Blitz were a prominent English punk/Oi! band from New Mills in Derbyshire, formed in 1980 and active until 2007. They quickly gained recognition in the early 1980s indie charts, thanks in part to the support of Sounds journalist Garry Bushell who featured them on the Carry On Oi! compilations and helped them sign with No Future Records . Wikipedia +8 Their original lineup included Carl Fisher (vocals), Nidge “Alan” Miller (guitar), Neil “Mackie” McLennan (bass), and Charlie Howe (drums). They were known for their raw, working-class sound—characteristic of the Oi! style—with later work exploring more post‑punk textures . Wikipedia +3
