Blackfoot is an American Southern rock band formed in the early 1970s. Known for their hard-driving blend of Southern rock, blues, and heavy metal influences, the group gained popularity for their energetic live performances and gritty sound. Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, Blackfoot was one of the few Native American-fronted rock bands, led by frontman Rickey Medlocke. Over the years, they have undergone several lineup changes but have maintained a loyal fan base and a lasting presence in the Southern rock scene.
