Walkmen - New country

NEW COUNTRY - The Walkmen Tabbed by: giogadi This is a beautiful tune with a simple tab; however, it takes some practice to play and sing while varying the tempo the way the band does. It's easier to fingerpick, but if you play it with a pick you can get closer to the pensive, sustained sound the band has. The band also has a backup guitar to add atmosphere as the song progresses, but this tab is just for the lead. There's some fiddling at the beginning, but I begin the tab right at the verse, which begins a few seconds in. For those of you who know time signatures, the time of this song is 12/8. That's 4 down beats, where each measure's beat sounds like "down-up-up down-up-up down-up-up down-up-up". The D string notes are on the down-up-up's and the B string notes are between the D string notes. I've marked the down beats with a "*".
