Tuning:
This is for ukulele and will give a nice melodious feel with these finger-picking patterns. It's one of my favorites to play. My uke is strung with High G for this. It’s also in 4/4 time so not particularly suited to play with the recorded piano-version. Also sounds great with someone else on guitar playing the more basic chords of Am, C, and G. Main pattern: 4, 1, 2, 4, 1, 2, 4, 1 (pluck the three string with the fours at your discretion for added depth when desired) 2nd Chorus: 4, 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, 1, 4, 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 4, 1, + main pattern (X2) Instrumental and Ending pattern: 4, 1, 4, 1, 3, 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, 1, 4, 1, 3, 1 (repeat as necessary) And right before the ending with the G chord, use 3,3, and then at the G chord start either main pattern again--or a strum for for ending. Conceived and arranged by James Darrin Rich, 2025. Please credit me for this arrangement if shared elsewhere. I work really hard on these to get them the way I want.
