Tina Dico - Count To Ten
Tabbed by lwm89
Capo on 2nd fret
Chords used:
Am x02210
Am/G 3x2210
Am/F 1x2210
Am/E 0x2210
Basically you just finger the D and G strings on the 2nd fret and change the bass
note as required. You can use your thumb over the neck to play the F on the 6th string.
For a video on how to do the picking pattern see Tina Dicos own tutorial at www.tinadico.com/songbook
This is the picking pattern used throughout the song e.g. for Am:
Am
e|---------------|---------------|---------------|---------------|
B|---------------|---------------|---------------|---------------|
G|------2-------2|------2-------2|------2-------2|------2-------2|
D|----2---0h2-2--|----2---0h2-2--|----2---0h2-2--|----2---0h2-2--|
A|0--------------|0--------------|0--------------|0--------------|
E|---------------|---------------|---------------|---------------|
T T i T T i T T i T T i T T i T T i T T i T T i
Right hand fingerpicking: T = thumb, i = index. Tina uses a thumb pick which
accentuates the bass notes nicely.
When the chord has an asterisk (*), switch to this pattern:

For the Am/F** in the first chorus, just pluck the 6th string once and let it ring.

[Verse 1]
There are fAmaces, there are smiles, so many teeth, too many arms and legs
And eyes and flashing buttons all arAm/Gound me
I'm wAmatching, I'm breathing, I'm pushing, I'm wishing
That these walls would not be talking quite so lAm/Goudly
I have bAm/Furnt down once before, I've pulled mysAm/Gelf up from the floor
And I am lAm/Fooking for a reason to stay sAm/Gtanding
But sometAmimes it's just too much, it's not enough, it's something else
It's so much bigger than my head, it's too demAm/Ganding
[Chorus]
SAm/Fometimes the fAm/Gastest way to get there is to go sAmlow
And sAm/Fometimes when you wAm/Ganna hold on you got to let gAmo
I'm gonna Am/G*close my Am*eyes, and Am/G*count Am/F*to Amten
I'm gonna Am/G*close my Am*eyes, Am/G* and when I Am/F*open them agAm/E*ain
Am/G* Am/F** Am
Everything will make sense to me then
[Verse 2]
I have mAmet so many people, we've exchanged so many words
We've said it all and we've said nothing but it's cAm/Ghanged us
I have kAmnown a lot of men, some were lovers, some were friends
But all together were they merely passing sAm/Gtrangers?
They'll contAm/Frol you with their silence, they'll contAm/Grol you with their words
And you'll contAm/Frol them with your body's coded sAm/Gignals
In the wAmild, entangled gardens of our insecurities
We lose our heads into each other's hidden pAm/Gitfalls

[Chorus]
