'55 when the mill burned down ^D I wasn't much past a pretty young gal ^C The boss lit a match in the oily night ^G

So while the ^Bmcompany traded with our lives We were^C busy watching that slow moon rise ^G Dancing on the high grass ridge ^D Making love down by the Cedar County Bridge ^C
