My high school?s concert band recently played a piece that was just a medley of songs from the movie Robin Hood and there wuz this into played on the marimba and I thought it was kinda kool. So then one day I wuz messin around on my set and I made a variation of that marimba part using the different things on the set. This is it. Played in 12/8 time. Snares off. |-----4x-----|-----4x-----|-----4x-----|-----4x-----| S|------------|o-o---o-o-o-|--o-----o---|o-----o---o-| t|o-o---o-o-o-|------------|o-----o---o-|--o-----o---| F|o-o-oooooooo|o-o-oooooooo|o-o-oooooooo|o-o-oooooooo| B|o-o---------|o-o---------|o-o---------|o-o---------| You could probly keep going using all different toms and stuff and working in the cymbals. It sounds pretty cool. I must give credit to Michael Kamen who wrote the original score and Paul Lavender of did the particular arrangement that my school band played. visit 2112design.com and get their program TabTRAX. its an amazing program that allows you to play back just the drum part from a song, and it displays it in both tab format and standard music tablature. check it out.
