Tuning: E A D G B E
Artist: The Staves Song: I'm On Fire (Bruce Springsteen Cover) Tuning: Open D (D A D F# A D) Capo: No Capo EDIT 10/22: Added a rough picking pattern. Based on: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pu3dfhmyKLI | The Staves Bruce Springsteen I'm On Fire Weekend 2015 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLi-7mRveRg | Session by SOB #3 // The Staves - I'm On Fire (Bruce Springsteen's cover) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LVW95Mxv6k | The Staves - I'm On Fire (Bruce Springsteen) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6vYQjvQYJ8Y | The Staves - « I'm On Fire » The following tab is a sort of amalgamated version of what The Staves are playing. There's no right or wrong chord here as long as you use the order presented in this tab, simply because the Bm and D variations all sound the same. [Chords] Bm7*: 900000 Bm7**: x20000 Bm11: x20002 Dmaj7: 040000 D*: 000000 D**: 050000 Dadd2: 000002 D/G: 500000 D/A: 700000 As far as the picking pattern goes: This is by no means meant to be 100 % accurate, yet it still sounds almost like what Camilla Staveley-Taylor plays. I like to do a sort of brush stroke first to get the root note of the chord and then add the higher strings, which is most of the time limited to the 2nd and 3rd string. The 1st string comes into play especially when you add that E via the 2nd fret on the 1st string. E.g. D |-------------------------------------------------| A |-------------------------------------------------| D |----------0---------0-----------0-----------0----| F#|-----0----------0---------0-----------0----------| D |--0----0-----0----0----0-----0-----0-----0----0--| A |--2----2-----2----2----2-----2-----2-----2----2--| D |-------------------------------------------------| [Intro] Bm7** D** Bm7** Bm11 D* [Verse 1]
