A few suggestions: In the verses, I play the the Bb as a power chord with the bass note shifting from Bb-G-Bb. During the choruses instead of playing the full Bb chord, I just play three ascending notes: F - G - Bb. After playing that pattern for the 4th time on the word "runaround", strum the Bb chord. It can sound good (especially on acoustic) to leave the high Eb or even Bb strings ringing out on the Prechorus and Bridge progressions. The Ab chords can generally be substituted with Absus2 as well. It's a pretty simple song but the rhythm can be a little tricky so listen closely! [Intro]
