Angels by Robbie Williams
Tabbed by Gijs van den Broek
This is the only right version!!
It's played with a piano and a guitar and another guitar that plays the solo. Here are the two guitar tabs:
Intro:
E
Verse:
I sit and Ewait. Does an angel contemplaAte my fateC#m.
BAnd do they kEnow the places were we go when we're grey and Aold.C#m
BCuz I have been Atold that salvation lets their C#mwings unfold. A
So when I'm lDying in my bed,
Thoughts Arunning through my head,
And I Efeel that love is dead.
ID'm loving Aangels insEtead.
Chorus:
And through it Ball she offers me protC#mection,
A lot love and affAection, whether I'm right or wrEong.
And down the waterfBall wherever it may tC#make me,
I know that life won't brAeak me.
When I come to G#mcall, she won't forF#msake me.
DI'm loving anAgels instEead.
Verse:
EWhen I'm feeling weak and my pain walks down a onAe way streetC#m.
BI look aboveE and I know I'll always be blessedA with love.C#m
BAndD as the feeling grows
she Abreathes flesh to my bones
And whEen love is dead,
DI'm loving Aangels instEead.
Solo:
Bm A E

G|-----------9-9/11------------9-9/11------------9-------

E|-------------------------------------------------------
This solo 4 times. The last note (the 0) can also be played as a B on the D string (a 9) you'll have to see for yourself what's best.
You can even play the 11 on the G string as a 7 on the B string. You don't have to use the slide but it doesn't sound as good as the slide.
Playing order:
Verse one
Chorus
Verse two (drums enter)
Chorus
Solo
Chorus
The last note from the verse continues to the chorus until the B comes in. This last chord ( the E) is very nice if you play the lower strings so you get a very heavy sound.
