Tuning:
Tuning ยค Ab-Ab-Ab-Ab-B-Db (sick!) E - 1 and a 1/2 step down (to Db) B - stays where it should be (the B) G - 1/2 step up (to Ab) D - 2 and a 1/2 step down (to Ab) A - 1/2 step down (to Ab) E - 2 and a 1/2 step up (to Ab) Explanation for the Brian's sick tuning: there is no logical explanation. If any of you know who's idea it was, let me know. Although, the tuning is very good to play; and you don't have to worry for the low E string to pop up, as I was. Placebo rulz. While I'm here, I'm just gonna say, in fact, write what Placebo's frontman Brian Molko said about their tuning in one interview: "We also tune our guitars to F, B Flat, E Flat, A Flat, C, C because that suits my voice better," continues Molko. "Tuning the top two strings to C adds a shimmering resonance, and we never play solos where we need a high -E string anyway." -Kyle Swenson (journalist) So, there you go. Now it's official; this is the real Placebo's tuning. But, they don't use it on every song. Definitely not on this one... ================================================================================ I named parts of the song as riffs #x, 'cuz it's hard to tell which is what. The "|" mark bellow the tab shows the time. And one more thing: I'm not 100% sure for the riffs #2 and #3 so correct me if you know the right way to play it. The timings "[x:xx]" is for the cutted version ([4:53]), and not for the real one, which is [22:24]. But I'm sure you'll get it. Symbols:
