Starry Night- Patrick Park Wonderful song by this awesome artist! I came up with my own way to play the song, you can follow it or not, but it sounds good! Basically, finger pick the chords while playing the following melody (figure out however you are most comfortable incorporating it) In the chorus, I thought it sounded neat to throw in a Cadd9 instead of a plain C chord. You can play either though Cadd9: E-0- -3- B-3- -3- G-0- -0- D-2-OR-2- A-3- -3- E--- --- Intro: (h = hammer-on) G D Am C E-3-2-0------2-0--------0--------------0-| B--------0h3-----3--0h1---3-1--0h1-1-3---| G----------------------------------------| D----------------------------------------| Play this twice A----------------------------------------| E----------------------------------------| VERSE 1
Well GI remember back when DI was young And Amking of all my Cdays
How I Gnever used to worry Dabout a thing But Amtime it turns the Cpage
Cause Amnow my head is Emset to spin And my Bworries start where my Cworries end
BRIDGE (while playing C chord, do this small scale on the bottom 2 strings) C Em E----------------------------------------| B----------------------------------------| G----------------------------------------| D---------------2------------------------| A-3-----3-2-----2------------------------| E----3-----3-2--0------------------------| CHORUS
And Emeveryone’s making mCadd9e promises thaGt burn like citDy lights But EmI’d trade everCadd9y single one of theGm for a starrDy night
Where my Emmind don’t race like Cadd9a spoiled child And I Gfeel the warm wind Dblow
Rolling Amdown some dark Emhighway B C (No Chord) Far far away from this big show.
Repeat Intro VERSE 2 (Same chords) Well living everyday in this strange parade it gets under my skin It’s always things you think you want the most that tend to cage you in Until you make the same mistakes time and time again. CHORUS Repeat Intro to end on G Enjoy! Let me know if there are any issues! Tabbed by: Art&Lutherie
