Tuning:
Nirvana - unreleased - You Know You're Right - written by Kurt Cobain
tabbed by Terradaloo00. E-mail - Notunique00@hotmail.com
Performed live 10/23/93 Chicago. I am tabbing this based on just the live version, not the studio clips that have been released, except on the chorus which isn't distinguishable on the live version. It is 1/2 step down, since everything Kurt played on the In Utero tour was 1/2 step down even if it was recorded in standard tuning, such as In Bloom or Breed.
This is an extremely powerful song that deserves to be tabbed even though the solo is completely not able to be tabbed.
Chords:
GbE5--- F#5--- D5-7- E5(7)-9-
Db-2- -4- -7- -9-
Ab-2- -4- -5- -7-
Eb-0- -2- --- ---
1/2 step down (EbAbDbGbBbEb)
Intro/verse A riff

Note: There are many variations of this through the verse, but they are not different notes, just different, random picking techniques with these same three notes. On the palm muting, just slightly palm mute the open E notes.
After 4 measures of that verse riff play this: (verse B riff)

After 8 measures (4 with words) play verse B riff.
Chorus:

F#5Paaa-E5iiiF#5-aaa-E5iii-F#5aaa-E5iiiiF#5in E5
D5Paaa-iii-aaa-iiiE5(7)-aaa-iiiiin
E5(7)You know you're right (or whatever he says the last time)
Post chorus: Verse A riff with dist.
Repeat entire thing except skip verse riff C and go straight to chorus.
After the second chorus there is a long improvised Cobain-esque random noise solo that isn't nearly distinguishable enough to be tabbed. So just improvise there.
That's it.
Have fun with this incredible song and hope the studio version is released soon.
Thanks.
