Tuning: D G C F A D
Tab by laniezarthur : laniezarthur@gmail.com I have tried to write down the chords of Nightwish's masterpiece "The Greatest Show on Earth" The music is 24 minutes long and divides into several parts, so I've developed the tab according to the timing of the music so that you don't get lost. Chords are originally given for the piano but Part II and III are played by the electric guitar. For guitar parts, tune to D Standard and transpose these chords 1 step up (play power chords). Note for Gmadd9/D : Notes played there are D and Bb in the lower part, G, A and D in the higher part (NSpen) [I. Four Point Six] From 00:00 to 01:32 Dsus4 Dm E/D Dm Gmadd9/D Dm E/D Dm Cm Eb A/C# Dsus4 Dm E/D Dm Gmadd9/D Dm E/D Dm Cm Eb A/C# Gm Eb F Eb Gm Bb Gm Eb F Eb Gm Bb C From 01:32 to 02:57 Dm Fm Dm E Dm Ddim E Fm Dm E Fm Dm Bbmaj7 Dm Dmadd9 Dm C G Dm Dm Bb Bb C Dm Dm C G Dm Dm Bb Bb C Bb C Dm Dm Ddim Dm From 02:57 to 04:28 Dsus4 Dm E7/D Dm Gmadd9/D Dm E/D Dm Cm Eb A/C# Dsus4 Dm E/D Dm Gmadd9/D Dm E/D Dm Cm Eb A/C# Gm Eb F Eb Gm Bb Gm Eb F Eb Gm Bb C Dm From 04:28 to 05:01 Dm Bb C G Bb C Dm Bb C G C D Em C D A C D Em C D A/E Em A/E Em From 05:01 to 05:46 Em D A Em Em C C D Em Em D A Em Em C C D Em [Lyrics sung by Floor Janses from 03:44 to 05:46] Archaean horizon The first sunrise On a pristine Gaea Opus perfectum Somewhere there, us sleeping [Spoken] "After sleeping through a hundred million centuries We have finally opened our eyes on a sumptuous planet Sparkling with color, bountiful with life Within decades we must close our eyes again Isn't it a noble, an enlightened way of spending our brief Time in the sun, to work at understanding the universe And how we have come to wake up in it?"
