Cadillac Man:The Jesters. Recorded at Sun Records in 1965. INTRO: G D #1.
Well, I was Gtoolin' down the highway in my beat up fifty-three..smokin' like a steamship
with the po-lice after me.
When I Cpassed the business district, just then I saw..a GCadillac Motor sign sayin', trade your
run-down car.
Well, I Dpulled up in the alley tore my clutch right outta the floor and I was Ghalf-way in the dealer's
when the cops flew by the door. CHORUS:
GI want the Cadillac, mister dealer..like they build in fifty-nine.G7 I want Cthe Cadillac, mister dealer..one that'll blast-off 'cross the Gline. And when I Dhit that open roadway..Cman, I really wanna Gfly.D
(INTERLUDE:PIANO:) G C G D C G D #2.
Well, I Gbought that big black Cadillac and I took off down the road..I adjusted my rear view mirror then I spied that
po-lice Ford.
They was Ccomin' after me, boy, with their red lights all aglow.. so I Gwhupped that wheel around and I took off down a dirt
side-road.
That Dbig machine wouldn't make the turn and the Ccops they grabbed a-hold of me. And the Glast I seen my Cadillac, it was wrapped around a tree.
OUTRO:
I want the CCadillac, mister dealer.. I want the GCadillac, mister dealer.. yeah, the CCadillac mister dealer. gotta have the GCadillac, mister dealer.. I want the CCadillac, mister dealer.. G D..G C G I want the Cadillac, mister dealer.........(Fade.)
