i was lucky enough to see this song played by the original writer at the end of 2007. he a local band in Melbourne named after this song and that band is still going now (and playing this same song). i talked to him after his performance and he told me the song written about a certain girl named Alice who he used to date. the song is fairly easy if sung right sounds amazing. I've been trying to find where the original writer of this went so to tab some of his other songs, but so far i am unable to find him anywhere. Standard Tuning intro C G Am F

We would be forever, at least that's the way it seemed. You were once my "true love" but only in my dreams. I wish I knew what I did wrong; I wish I could change the past. I wish we were still "together" so I could say our love did last. there'll be sunshine after rain there'll be laughter after extraordinary pain if theres day after night after wrong there always must be right seven letters have never meant so much a soul is what we shared you just turned and walked away you said I'm sorry I'm too scared i know fate brought us together but destiny ripped us apart i know it wasn't meant to be but it doesn't heal a broken heart there'll be sunshine after rain there'll be laughter after extraordinary pain if theres day after night after wrong there always must be right
