Misty mountains- The Hobbit
-Part one: The unexpected party
AmFar over the misGty mountains Amcold
AmTo dungeons Gdeep and caverns Amold
We must Amaway ere break of Gday
To seek the Ampale Emenchanted Amgold.
AmThe dwarves of yore Gmade mighty Amspells,
AmWhile hammers Gfell like ringing Embells
In places Amdeep, where dark things Gsleep,
In hollow Amhalls Embeneath the Amfells.
AmFor ancient king Gand elvish Amlord
AmThere many a Ggleaming golden Emhoard
They shaped and Amwrought, and light they Gcaught
To hide in Amgems Emon hilt of Amsword.
AmOn silver necklaces Gthey Amstrung
AmThe flowering Gstars, on crowns they Emhung
The dragon-fire, Amin twisted Gwire
They meshed the Amlight Emof moon and Amsun.
AmFar over the Gmisty mountains Amcold
AmTo dungeons Gdeep and caverns Amold
We must Amaway, ere the break of Gday,
To claim our Amlong-Emforgotten Amgold.
AmGoblets they carved Gthere for Amthemselves
AmAnd harps of Ggold; where no man Emdelves
There lay they Amlong, and many a Gsong
Was sung unheAmard Emby men or Amelves.
AmThe pines were roaring Gon the Amheight,
AmThe winds were Gmoaning in the Emnight.
The fire was Amred, it flaming Gspread;
The trees like Amtorches Emblazed with Amlight.
AmThe bells were ringing Gin the Amdale
AmAnd men looked Gup with faces Empale;
Then dragon's Amire more fierce than Gfire
Laid low their Amtowers Emand houses Amfrail.
AmThe mountain smoked Gbeneath the Ammoon;
AmThe dwarves, they Gheard the tramp of Emdoom.
They fled their Amhall to dying Gfall
Beneath his Amfeet, Embeneath the Ammoon.
AmFar over the Gmisty mountains Amgrim
AmTo dungeons Gdeep and caverns Amdim
We must aAmway, ere the break of Gday,
To win our Amharps Emand gold from Amhim!
-Part 2: Inside the mountain
AmUnder the Gmountain dark and Amtall
AmThe king has Gcome unto his Amhall!
His foe is Amdead, the Worm of GDread,
And ever Amso Emhis foes shall Amfall.
AmThe sword is sharp, Gthe spear is Amlong,
AmThe arrow Gswift, the Gate is Emstrong;
The heart is Ambold that looks on Ggold;
The dwarfs no Ammore Emshall suffer Amwrong.
AmThe dwarves of yore Gmade mighty Amspells,
AmWhile hammers Gfell like ringing Embells
In places Amdeep, where dark things Gsleep,
In hollow Amhalls Embeneath the Amfells.
AmOn silver necklaces Gthey Amstrung
AmThe light of Gstars, on crowns they Emhung
The dragon-Amfire, from twisted Gwire
The melody Amof Emharps they Amwrung.
AmThe mountain throne Gonce more is Amfreed!
AmO! wandering Gfolk, the summons Emheed!
Come haste! Come Amhaste! across the Gwaste!
The king of Amfriend Emand kin has Amneed.
AmNow call we over Gmountains Amcold,
Am'Come back Gunto the caverns Amold'!
Here at the AmGates the king Gawaits,
His hands are Amrich Emwith gems and Amgold.
AmThe king is come Gunto his Amhall
AmUnder the GMountain dark and Amtall.
The worm of Amdread is slain and Gdead,
And ever Amso Emour foes shall Amfall!
Continued in The Fellowship of the Ring:
-Before departure: Merry and Pippin's journey-song
AmFarewell we call to Gheart and Amhall!
AmThough wind may Gblow and rain may Amfall,
We must Amaway ere break of Gday
Far over Amwood Emand mountain Amtall.
AmTo Rivendell, Gwhere Elves yet Amdwell
AmIn glades Gbeneath the misty Emfell,
Through moor and Amwaste we ride in Ghaste,
And whither Amthen Emwe cannot Amtell.
AmWith foes ahead, Gbehind us Amdread,
AmBeneath the Gsky shall be our Embed,
Until at Amlast our toil be Gpassed,
Our journey Amdone, Emour errand Amsped.
We must Amaway! We must Gaway!
We ride Ambefore Emthe break of Amday!
