For the verse, Matt Nathanson is using one of his more common chord progressions here where he keeps a certain
"base" by doubling both the open 1st and 2nd string with the 9-9-0-0 on the first four strings, which means
the only thing that changes throughout the song is the root note.
For the chorus, he employs a similiar technique by doubling the 1st string with the constant 4-5-0 on the
first three stings. Based on their root notes, the chords stay almost the same in reference to the verse, yet
the voicings change.
