One of my favorite songs on the album. And not too tough at all. Standard tuning, no capo.
The chords aren't full, though, so here's what I've come up with:
Em = 000220 (normal)
C = 010230 (normal)
G = 030023 / 000023
D = 032002 / 002002 / 030450
As for the variations for G and D, you can just decide which one goes best for
which part. But he is always playing the top E string open, so keep that in mind
(all the chords listed have the E open).
EmThis whole city's black anCd white
Tell me what is youGr color
Could it Cbe the samGe as mineD?
EmFaded greens and blue street lights C
There's a red fire burniGng
In the Csea upG to the sDky.
I don't want to waCit until tomorrow
To tell you how I'd fEmeel the rest of my life
You don't want a waCste another minute to reaGlize D
Walking on the daCrk side of the evening
Baby it is Emyou, that opened my eyes
Burning like a fCire on the water
The ciCty of blaGck and whDite.
Won't you just Cstay? G D
Won't you just Cstay? G D
The rest is all the same. For the breakdown, the same chords are used, just listen
to find out the rhythms and which goes where.
