transcribed by Logan Mayfield <mayfiejl@ececs.uc.edu> This is kind of hard to TAB out just right cause its so jazz/improv oriented. At anyrate i'll give you the chords for sure and some TAB. Focus on a good walking bass and hit the chords when you can. I used the studio version to get some of the chords and then pulled the rest from "Live Wide Open". The chords are above where they sound in the TAB, I'll put just the important notes in the Tab, feel free to add more notes from the chords (which are listed below). Theres a lot of palm muting and stuff here. One last note, swing the heck out of this song, beats 2 and 4 are your friend. Good luck! Standard Tuning Chords E - 022100 EMaj7 - 021100 A - 002220 B9 - x21222 B13 - x21244 (played in place of B9 sometimes) A+5 - x123xx (this is an A with the 5 sharped, i have it this way to get that E# in the bass) F#m7 - 2x2222 B7+9 - x2123x (B7 add sharp 9) Intro Riff E-----12--12--12------------------------------------------------| B-----10--11--12------------------------------------------------| G-----11--12--13------------------------------------------------| D---------------------------------------------------------------| A---------------------------------------------------------------| E-------------------0-------------------------------------------| Verse E EMaj7 A B9 E----------------------------| B----------------------------| G-----1-----1------2-----2---| D-----2-----1------2-----1---| A---------------0--0--2--2---| E--0--0--4--4----------------| Chorus A A+5 E F#m7 B9 E (Improv) E-----------------------------------------------------| B--------------------------------------------1/2--2---| G----2----3-----------------2-----2-----1----0----0---| D----2----2-----------------2-----1-----2----1/2--2---| A--0-0--1-1--2--3--4-----------2--2-----2-------------| E---------------------4--2--2---------0---------------| (The last time on the chorus, instead of throwing some lick on the E [improv], hit a B7+9, as listed above) Here are the lyrics with just the chords above them, so you can get the timing. Use the TAB above as a guide.
