The hyphen between certain chords indicates that the chord is played once only.
I have tried to place the chords directly over the words that they are first played on
(Which is why the gaps vary between hyphens)
STRUM PATTERN:
I use a Down-Up-Down pattern in a Chack-a-boom, chack-a-boom style, softly on the verses
and heavier on the rest.
Slow strums on each syllable of the verses sounds good too.
For the Bridge, I use a Down-Up strum on each chord but striking the strings a third
time as I release them (playing entirely open strings between chords)
For the F and the F#, I use bar chords
I'd like to thank simmosh for uploading their version which inspired me to have a go at it.
Also my thanks to Ultimateguitar.com for making it so easy for me to transpose the
chords to some that I can actually play and lastly to Marina Diamandis for writing it.
I think I know now why Marina stopped singing it, LOL
