Capo: 2
Thanks to Pencom for his version, it was the basis of what I have come up with
I initially didnt want to post this as a separate tab as its the same chords just some differences
in the progression, and in Key of D not E (no capo v 2 fret),
chord change is also slightly different on last line of verses
This is just how the song sits with me, its definitely lower than the original,
not sure but i'm guessing its in E,
and this progression will work with capo on 2nd too if you want to play it in key of E
standard tuning Key of D no capo
Time signature 4/4 (with 4 instances of 2/4 bars) the other half bars fit evenly into 4/4
(Chord + 3 dots = 4 beats, Chord + 1 dot = 2 beats)
(* the asterisk notates the bar is 2/4)
verse
D...A...G.Bm.A...D...
D...A...G.Bm.A...D...
G...*G.D...Bm...G.Bm.A...
chorus
G...*D.A...G.Bm.D...A...
G...*D.A...G.Bm.*A.D...
picking pattern I'm using is below; removing the last 4 notes for half bars of any chord,
and in some instances stopping short in the pattern and letting the last
played note linger to fill the bar... whatever feels good for you
chords ....... picking pattern
320033 G 63231323
xx0232 D 43231323
x03330 A 54342434
xx4432 Bm 43231323
(can barre the Bm but im using the 4th string as the base note not the 5th)
first line D A G Bm A D can be used as an intro and or outro (im happy just to end on a D note;
i feel its a long enough song to not need it further extended)
