and we fought the bloomin' British in the town of New Orleans
Well, we Cfired our guns and the British kept a comin',
there wasn't nigh as many as there Gwas a while Cago.
We fired once more and they began a running,
on down the Mississippi to the GGulf of CMexico.
2. Well, we Clooked down the river till we Fsee the British come,
there Gmust have been a hundred of 'em Cbeatin' on the drum.
They stepped so high and they Fmade the bugles ring,
G - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
well, we stood beside our cotton bales and never said a thing.

if we Gdidn't fire a musket till we Clooked 'em in the eyes.

and they Gran through the bushes where the Crabbits couldn't go.
They ran so fast that the Fhounds couldn't catch 'em,
all Gdown the Mississippi to the CGulf of Mexico.

then grGabbed an alligator and we Cfought another round.
