#4 on Secret Samadhi
transcribed by Andy Dufresne (dufresne@deskmedia.com)
This is one of the cooler songs on the new album. Tune down step
to Eb, Ab, Db, Gb, Bb, Eb. All chords are written as they would be
played in standard tuning (ie- the F# is technically an F). I would
make a chord key, but that would take a while and you should all
know these chords anyway. Ok, now the song:
EEveryF#body's here
pukeE stinks like beer
thisF# could be a city
this cEould be a graveyard
you F#stole my idea
you EstoF#le my idea
Eeverybody's F#anxious
for thEe coming of the crisis
the coF#llapse of the justice
I can Esmell your armpits
you F#stole my idea
you Estole my idea
you F#stole my idea
CHORUS:
F#this pukGe stinks like beer and everybody's here
Gcome onF#, come on, come on
Glet'sF# lay wEaste to thiGs cF#entuEry
Gcome onF#, come on, come on
GreturEn to nothing
EeveryboF#dy's anxious
the crEowd is all around us
the F#followers of Aldous
are spinniEng with their mescaline
a man F#behind the altar screams
you Estole my idea
you F#wereE my idea
(CHORUS)
Gcome onF#, come on, come on
Glet's lF#ay wasEte to GthiF#s ceEntury
BRIDGE:
F#on theG edge oAf a kiss, smack on the lips
dangCmled with tongue
F#on theG edge oAf a peace that can't stand low
and Cmwon't stand tall
Gcome onF#, come on, come on

This is a cool song from Live's latest album. The album's really good,
but it's something that definitely grows on you as you listen to it.

Tune a 1/2 step down, as per usual for about 99% of Live's songs.
This is real easy, but here's one of the main chords he uses:
F#7 sus4/E (F sharp 7 suspended 4 with an E bass, I know, I know,
it sounds a lot harder than it actaully is. It's
basically an open E chord moved up two frets.)
eb:---0----|
Bb:---0----|
Gb:---2----|
Db:---4----|
Ab:---4----|
Eb:---0----|
Verse:
(using Chorus)
E F#7 sus4/E
Everybody's here... (simply repeat these two chords for the verse,
and listen to the song to get the correct
strumming pattern.)
Chorus:
(using distortion)
this puke Bstinks like beer,
(B)
and everybody's here, so
Acome on, comeG on, come on,
letF#'s laEy waste to this
centuBry..A. B
Acome on, comeG on, come on,
retF#urn tEo nothing...
(again, listen for the strumming pattern; there's some chunk-a-chunk-a
muting on the A chord. Also, all the other chorus' all simply extended
versions of the first, so listen for those changes, too)
Bridge:
F# On the edGge, of a kiAss, smack on the lips
dangDled with tongue
F# On the edGge, of a peace,A that can't stand low
and Bwon't stand tall!
That's pretty much all the parts to this song; just piece them together
and have fun!
