Tuning: E A D G B E
Okay, Just throwing up how I play this classic Leadbelly song. Others have the same intros, but it's that third bit catches people out, mines a bit easier, and truer sounding, to my ears anyways March 2018, Added lyrics, Added TAB for alt riff played at intro. The spoken intro is as best I can make out, Leadbelly does keep talking, but it was too low for me to make out. If anyone else has anything better, maybe stick them in the comments? Mostly the same guitar riff plays all the way through, on the first play through, during the spoken intro, he plays e|--------------------------------| B|--------------------------------| G|--------------------------------| D|--------0--2-2-0--------0-------| A|--0--4------------4--2----4--2--| E|--------------------------------| adding an extra note on the D string that he then drops and adds as his genius sees fit. Also, the song slowly speeds up as he plays, Like a train leaving the station, Like speeding up, the closer you get to home. If you like it, look at it, love it or hate it RATE IT ! flatwound ALABAMA BOUND I'm Alabama bound I'm Alabama bound e|------------------------------------------------| B|------------------------------------------------| G|------------------------------------------------| D|------------------------------------------------| A|---------2--4--2-----------------2--4--2--------| E|--0--4------------0-------0--4------------0-----| I'm Alabama bound I'm Alabama bound e|------------------------------------------------| B|------------------------------------------------| G|------------------------------------------------| D|---------2--4--2----------------2--4--2---------| A|--0--4------------0------0--4------------0------| E|------------------------------------------------| And if this train Don't stop And turn around e|------------------------------------------------| B|------------------------------------------------| G|------------------------------------------------| D|----------0---2-----0-------------0-------------| A|--0---4------------------4----2-------4--2------| E|------------------------------------------------| I'm Alabama bound I'm Alabama bound e|------------------------------------------------| B|------------------------------------------------| G|------------------------------------------------| D|------------------------------------------------| A|---------2--4--2----------------2--4--2---------| E|--0--4------------0------0--4------------0------| ALABAMA BOUND (Spoken) Talk to me dudes, Yeah, I'm goin' back too boys I'm leaving us, Lawd, Lawd, The longsome road I'm Alabama bound, I'm Alabama bound I'm Alabama bound, I'm Alabama bound An' if dis train don't stop an' turn around I'm Alabama bound, I'm Alabama bound Oh, Don't you leave me here, Now, Don't you leave me here Don't you leave me here, Now, Don't you leave me here But if you really must go, Anyhow Give me a dime for beer, Give me a dime for beer I'm Alabama bound, I'm Alabama bound I'm Alabama bound, I'm Alabama bound An' if dis train don't stop an' turn around I'm Alabama bound, I'm Alabama bound You wanna be like me, You wanna be like me You wanna be like me, You wanna be like me He said, Yeah, You can hide, Check where she born And let that King Corn be, And let that King Corn be I'm Alabama bound, I'm Alabama bound I'm Alabama bound, I'm Alabama bound And if dis train don't stop an' turn around I'm Alabama bound, I'm Alabama bound The preachers in his stand, The preachers in the stand Pass his hand around, He pass his hand around Sayin' Brothers an' Sisters shoot your money to me I'm Alabama bound, I'm Alabama bound I'm Alabama bound, I'm Alabama bound I'm Alabama bound, I'm Alabama bound An' if dis train don't stop an' turn around I'm Alabama bound, I'm Alabama bound Oh, The preacher preach, Oh, The preacher preach Sister they turn'd around, Sister they turn around Yes'n the deacons in the corner, Holler sweet gal I'm Alabama bound, I'm Alabama bound I'm Alabama bound, I'm Alabama bound I'm Alabama bound, I'm Alabama bound An' if dis train don't stop an' turn around I'm Alabama bound, I'm Alabama bound (Spoken) Talk to me, Ahhhh lawd, Talk to me, Talk to me I'm going back tomorraw, Is you boy I'm Alabama bound, I'm Alabama bound I'm Alabama bound, I'm Alabama bound An' if dis train don't stop an' turn around I'm Alabama bound, I'm Alabama bound
