The Narrows by: Verne Garrison July 2, 2008-Valley Park, Mo The Narrows
Let Dme Gtell Dyou, About the place where I used to Alive A Dplot of timber Gground, sky so Dblue With a creek out back and Awildlife, Dtoo
I had a spot on the creek GI called the DNarrows You could step across the rocks and rushing Awater Build Da small fire, watch Gthe hawks and Dsparrows And at sun-down AI would loosen the Dhalter
I would mostly Gwatch and Ddream Write a song or a poem or Atwo Peaceful Dfeelings to Gme it would Dseem And walk back to the Acabin in the evening Ddew
The next day, I would Ggo to the narrows Dagain, Always see things that I had missed Abefore Hear Dnatures voices, and Gtrees creakin in the Dwind Back to the Acabin to rest, close the heavy Ddoor
Those were the times GI took for Dgranted Not aware of how fortunate that I Awas Now Dthe old cabin Groof is so Dslanted Watched over by Atwo lovely mourning Ddoves
G D indeed The Narrows, oh how I miss you......... ....fade.
